The Oklahoma Automobile Insurance Plan was created in 1950. The Plan's purpose is to provide automobile insurance coverage to eligible private passenger and commercial risks who are unable to obtain coverage through the voluntary market. (For complete eligibility requirements, see Section 2 and Section 18 of the Plan Manual).
Any insurance agent in the state of Oklahoma that has a valid Oklahoma Property and Casualty license can write business through the OAIP. Commissions are paid to the producing agent.
On our site we will publish documents related to the Plan as they become available. We hope you find this site to be a valuable information source. If you need answers to specific questions, problems or concerns, please feel free to call the Plan office at (866) 667-2827.
