MJUA Membership

All insurers authorized to write direct automobile insurance in the state are required to subscribe to and participate in the MJUA according to the rules, regulations and rates set forth in the MJUA Manual.

The MJUA is administered by a Board of Governors.

Subscribers to the MJUA meet annually. A Notice of the Annual Meeting is sent to all subscribers at least 45 days prior to the date of the meeting. The Annual Meeting is scheduled for October 30, 2003

Problem with a Producer

If there is a problem with a Producer, the servicing carrier should attempt to resolve the problem by contacting the producer directly. If, after following normal business procedures, the problem is not resolved, the servicing carrier can submit a formal complaint to the producer. Send a copy of your complaint to the MJUA office. Include a copy of your file. The MJUA office can then get actively involved in resolving the problem.

The insured may also contact the MJUA office and/or the servicing carrier for assistance with any problem related to a producer.
